These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Urban Styles website, mobile applications, and related services.

By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using any Urban Styles feature, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use Urban Styles.

Urban Styles is a discovery, connection, communication, and booking platform for customers and independent beauty, grooming, and wellness professionals.

The platform may allow users to browse professional profiles, catalogues, styles, portfolios, prices or price ranges, locations, availability, ratings, and reviews.

Urban Styles does not itself provide beauty, grooming, or wellness services.

Professionals using Urban Styles operate independently. They are not employees, agents, representatives, partners, or franchisees of Urban Styles.

Each professional is responsible for their own qualifications, licences where required, equipment, hygiene, service quality, availability, pricing, taxes, travel arrangements, and conduct.

A professional profile appearing on Urban Styles does not mean that Urban Styles guarantees every statement, qualification, service, or result associated with that professional.

You must provide accurate and current information when creating an account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for activity that occurs through your account.

You must notify Urban Styles promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

You must meet the minimum legal age required to enter into these Terms and use the platform.

Urban Styles may use location information to help customers find suitable professionals nearby and to help professionals define the areas they serve.

Distances, travel times, map positions, and nearby-search results are estimates and may not always be exact.

Users should confirm the final appointment location directly before travelling or providing a service.

Professionals are responsible for keeping their profiles, photographs, service descriptions, catalogues, prices, price ranges, and availability accurate.

A listed price may be fixed, estimated, or subject to discussion, depending on the service. Professionals must clearly indicate when a final price depends on consultation, style complexity, materials, travel distance, service duration, or other relevant factors.

Customers and professionals should confirm the final service, location, date, time, price, and any additional charges before the appointment begins.

Urban Styles may provide tools for enquiries, negotiation, availability checks, and booking requests.

A booking is not final until the customer and professional have agreed to the relevant service details and the professional has accepted or confirmed the request.

Users must communicate honestly and must not deliberately provide false information about availability, location, service requirements, or pricing.

Urban Styles does not currently collect, receive, hold, process, or distribute payment for beauty, grooming, or wellness services.

Customers pay professionals directly using a payment method agreed between the customer and the professional.

Urban Styles is not a party to the direct payment transaction and does not guarantee a refund, chargeback, payment reversal, or recovery of money paid directly to a professional.

Users should verify service details and the identity of the other party before sending money.

Professionals should clearly disclose any cancellation, lateness, rescheduling, travel, or deposit terms before a customer confirms a booking.

Customers should provide reasonable notice when they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Because payments are made directly, refund arrangements are normally handled between the customer and professional, subject to applicable consumer-protection law.

Nothing in these Terms removes any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

Reviews and ratings should reflect genuine experiences and must be honest, relevant, and respectful.

Users must not submit fake reviews, manipulate ratings, threaten another user with a negative review, or offer rewards in exchange for misleading feedback.

Urban Styles may investigate, restrict, edit, hide, or remove reviews that appear fraudulent, abusive, irrelevant, unlawful, or contrary to platform rules.

Users must treat each other respectfully and safely.

Users must not:

• Harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, or discriminate against others.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent qualifications.
• Share unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content.
• Use the platform for fraud, theft, or money laundering.
• Request or provide services that are unlawful or prohibited by Urban Styles.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data.
• Collect or publish another person's private information without permission.

Users should report serious safety concerns to Urban Styles and, where appropriate, to the relevant emergency or law-enforcement authority.

Professionals must:

• Provide accurate profile and service information.
• Maintain appropriate hygiene, safety, and professional standards.
• Use suitable products, tools, and equipment for the service.
• Explain material risks, allergies, limitations, or aftercare where relevant.
• Keep customer information confidential except where disclosure is legally required.
• Obtain any licences, approvals, insurance, or qualifications that may be legally required for their services.

Customers must:

• Provide accurate service and location information.
• Disclose relevant allergies, sensitivities, medical concerns, or previous reactions where appropriate.
• Attend appointments on time or provide reasonable notice.
• Confirm prices and additional charges before the service begins.
• Treat professionals, their staff, premises, and equipment respectfully.

Users retain ownership of photographs, text, portfolios, reviews, and other original content they submit.

By submitting content, you grant Urban Styles a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, resize, format, and distribute that content for operating and promoting the platform.

You must have the necessary rights and permissions to upload any content you submit.

The Urban Styles name, logo, design, software, and platform materials belong to Urban Styles or its licensors and may not be copied or used without permission.

Urban Styles may provide tools for users to report misconduct, misleading profiles, unsafe behaviour, fraudulent reviews, or other platform concerns.

We may request information from users, review platform records, limit visibility, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate access when reasonably necessary.

Urban Styles may assist communication between users, but it is not required to decide every private disagreement between a customer and professional.

You may stop using Urban Styles at any time and may request account deletion.

Urban Styles may suspend or terminate an account when we reasonably believe that a user has violated these Terms, created a safety risk, engaged in fraud, misused the platform, or exposed Urban Styles or another user to legal harm.

Where appropriate and legally permitted, we may provide notice or an opportunity to respond.

We aim to keep Urban Styles available and reliable, but the platform may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, internet interruptions, security events, or circumstances outside our control.

We may change, improve, remove, or introduce platform features over time.

To the extent permitted by law, Urban Styles does not guarantee the availability, conduct, qualifications, accuracy, safety, service quality, or results of any independent professional.

Users are responsible for deciding whether a professional, customer, service, location, price, and payment arrangement are suitable for them.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any responsibility or legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Urban Styles will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from dealings between customers and independent professionals.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

We may update these Terms when our services, business model, technology, or legal obligations change.

We will publish the updated Terms and revise the effective date. Where appropriate, we may also notify registered users.

Continued use of Urban Styles after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory consumer right or other applicable law.

Users should first try to resolve disputes through reasonable communication. Where a dispute cannot be resolved, it may be referred to an appropriate court, regulator, or dispute-resolution body.
